Nytt fra Skil-Shimano

Wagner, Veelers og Hupond blir værende.

Pressemelding:
Wagner, Veelers and Hupond also extend Skil-Shimano deals

Skil-Shimano has added an extra year to the contracts of Robert Wagner, Tom Veelers and Thierry Hupond this week in deals that also give the Pro Continental cycling team an additional 12-month option on each rider.

Robert Wagner is currently riding his first season at Skil-Shimano. The 25-year-old German has won two races: the Noord-Holland Tour and the first stage of Delta Tour Zeeland, where he earned second place in the general classification.

Tom Veelers made his pro peloton debut in Skil-Shimano colours this season. The 23-year-old Dutchman won his first race in July’s Tour de Qinghai Lake in China.

Thierry Hupond is also in his freshman season at Skil-Shimano, after making a great impression in 2007 as a stagiaire in the 3-Länder Tour, where he claimed the runner-up spot in the mountains category. The 23-year-old Frenchman has shown his climbing skills this year in Circuit Cycliste Sarthe, where he earned fourth place in the tough final stage, and his taste for offensive riding in Paris-Nice, where he wore the polka dot jersey for a day.
